In this artwork key lighting was key again, but very different from the previous piece. Instead of dramatic contrast, I went for a softer, post-apocalyptic morning light. Getting that sunlight to filter naturally through the buildings and clouds—while still highlighting the tank—took a lot of iteration. The wet road and reflections added another layer of complexity, especially making sure they didn’t overpower the scene.
Finally, in Photoshop, I brought everything together. Painted over, I used a lot of photos for building and nature -layered vegetation—ivy, grass, and small plants creeping over everything. I made subtle color grading to push the greens and warm sunlight, a bit of atmospheric haze to enhance depth, and some cleanup to unify the elements. I kept it restrained so it still feels grounded and realistic.
